Accoustic issue at the Music Hall

Wicked is a great musical and the two stars had tremendous voices. We had two issues. We were sitting in the lower balcony and had a difficult time hearing the dialogue. The musical numbers were fabulous, it was just the speaking voices we had trouble with. We've been to the Music Hall before without problems but this was our first time in the lower balcony. Not sure if it was the seats or an issue with the microphones. Second issue was partly our fault. We got to the Music Hall late (about four minutes late) and the usher was told not to seat anyone until a certain point in the show. He told us we could watch the performance on the TV behind the bar. Only problem was that clean up crew were wheeling noisy carriers across the room so we couldn't hear the performance. I know it was our fault that we were late but, did he have to wheel a noisy clean up cart at that time?

Wicked - Music Hall - Kansas City

This show is absolutely incredible. That being said, parking in Kansas City is pathetic. It's really unfair that the public parking garage across from the Music Hall is full an hour before the performance with valet parking from Power & Light. Really? I have always wanted to sit in the loge. Don't. The sound is horrible and you cannot see at all. Stick with the floor or front of the balcony. Why do people buy tickets for a Broadway show and then sing or talk throughout the entire performance? Really? So rude. Dinner was great. The show was amazing. The peripheral experiences, not so much!
